01
Find Your Current Unit's Info
Look at the label on your existing PTAC — you want the model number, voltage (usually 208/230V or 265V), and BTU rating. A photo of the label works great.
02
Call or Browse
Call us at 833-782-2453 and read us that info, or browse ptac4less.com to find the matching Genuine Comfort unit. We can also cross-reference your old brand to a Genuine Comfort equivalent.
03
Order and Receive
Your replacement unit ships to your door. Just confirm your address and any building receiving requirements when you order.
04
Swap It In
Unplug the old unit, slide the chassis out of the sleeve, slide the new one in, plug it in. Most condo owners do this themselves in under an hour — no HVAC contractor required.
A Few Quick Things
About Condo PTACs
Check Your Voltage First
Most condos run 208/230V, but some buildings use 265/277V. Check your unit label or your building's electrical specs before ordering. Call us if you're unsure.
Sleeve vs. Unit
If your sleeve (the metal housing in the wall) is in good shape, you usually just replace the chassis. If the sleeve is damaged or non-standard, we can help with that too.
HOA or Building Rules
Some buildings have specific requirements for unit replacement. Check with your HOA or building manager before ordering — typically a like-for-like swap is no issue.
Brand Doesn't Have to Match
You don't need to replace with the same brand. As long as the unit fits the sleeve dimensions and matches the voltage, you're good. We'll confirm compatibility.
"My condo PTAC died in August. I had no idea what to order. Called PTAC4Less, gave them the model number off the old unit, and had a replacement on my doorstep four days later. Swapped it in myself in about 45 minutes."
